#AWS

#resource-aws is a collaboration hub for volunteers teaching and learning AWS management. Using a web development platform like AWS might seem counter intuitive for an organization seeking to decentralize internet technology. To answer that let's go back in time to the 8th century BCE when bronze metallurgy and furnace technology were still new.

Periphetes was a giant with a crippled leg and a club made from bronze. The legend doesn’t say where he got it from, but his habit of robbing passers-by between Troy and Athens makes us think he probably stole a shipment and had enough knowledge or access to form the crude weapon. He made his living terrorizing travelers in a narrow pass along the road for decades, that is until the hero Theseus passed through.

When he appeared, he didn't take Theseus by surprise. He lumbered out allowing his huge size to block the narrow way. There was no easy escape for the young man. Periphetes was a classic villain, monologuing before attacking his victim, boasting about the horrors he would inflict. However, clever Theseus would not die that day.

“That looks like wood to me,” he said. Periphetes, this insult was too much for the technologically superior giant. Eager to prove his superiority, extended the rod to Theseus. The young man seized it, beat Periphetes and kept it as his trophy, much like Hercules wore the skin of the Nemean Lion.

Big tech is again extending large, crude tools to wise young men on their way to Athens-- nonprofits like NTARI. At the end of the story the way from Troy to Athens was free from obstruction, and we intend the way from information asymmetry to unbridled wisdom will be clear as well.

#Broadcast

#resource-broadcast is an exchange hub for media broadcasters of all skill levels and trades to exchange knowledge through practical applications in support of the Institute.

NTARI founders Jodson and Grace Graves met at the Defense Information School where they trained in audio/visual communication strategy and operations. They served at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina until December 2017. Prior to the Marine Corps, Jodson was an audio engineer trained by the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences in Tempe/Gilbert, Arizona.

In the early '20s, Jodson began studying computer science informally and comprehend the relevance of the ability to send computation via the internet. Understanding that bureaucracy itself is an artform he saw that sending good ideas and processes around the world with the intent of improving socioeconomic norms was not only an ability we all now share, but a moral imperative.

Graves chose AGPL-3 licensing and nonprofit structure to prevent NTARI from being neocolonialist, and applies the scale free, open topology of TCP/IP to every experience at the Institute.

#GoogleAds

#resource-googleads is a hub for Google Ads and Analytics managers of all skill levels to exchange knowledge while supporting the Institute. Using a web development platform like Google might seem counter intuitive for an organization seeking to decentralize internet technology. To answer that let's go back in time to the 8th century BCE when bronze metallurgy and furnace technology were still new.

#Infrastructure

#resource-infrastructure is an exchange hub for seasoned and novice Slack administrators to exchange knowledge while participating in practical application in support of the Institute.

According to GitLab's Handbook for asynchronous work management, online work requires extremely high-context support. By adding time, action and condition-based automations as information management systems, volunteers can learn the basics of improving the output of online teams.

Our goal is to make NTARI a hive, not a herd. We automate and document so the next wave of volunteers can build and easily maintain what you establish. This is the foundation of collaborative network democracy-- communities empowered by the use of the internet.

#Recruitment

#resource-recruitment facilitates exchanges between experienced and novice recruiters through practical applications in support of NTARI.

Most people don't consider culture to be a technology, but in nature, human adaptive abilities distinguish us from every other creature. NTARI is pioneering cultural development around network technology. Our goal is not to be a monolithic tech company, but a global facilitator in the early internet age.

We hope to develop a sense that we are not necessary, that people can build, maintain and restructure the internet much like they do their own languages.

The best leaders are not known

The lesser are loved and praised.

The even lesser are feared.

The least are despised.

Those who show no trust will not be trusted.

Those who are quiet value the words.

When their task is completed, the people will say:

We did it ourselves.

#Website

#resource-website provides experienced and novice volunteers a hub to exchange web development skills through practical applications in support of the Institute.

NTARI's motto is "Stay Connected". We say that not just to encourage our volunteer alumni, but to the whole race. For the first time since Babel, nearly the entire human race is united around something, but it's not a tower with a footprint foundation. It is a web extending around this world into the far reaches of space. For the first time, we can be a species with unified goals and prerogatives without centralization, we've already conquered the planet. Now, we are conquering ourselves.
