JCSWM

JCSWM maintains an annual grant budget of $216,000. A total of $36,000 is granted to local scientific institutions with the rest providing scholarships to community members to participate in scientific method workshops. Each workshop produces 216 media products. Of those products, 36 are epistemological discussions on the scientific method authored by facilitators of local libraries, observatories, clinics community centers and the like. The other 180 products are multimedia reports produced by citizen scientists during workshops. â€‹â€‹

A program director is compensated $60,000/yr to oversee a $1,200/mo budget to acquire data storage and develop software supporting the JCSWM conversation. The director is also supported by a travel budget of $100,000/yr to visit active research sites and promote the program. Finally, Meetup will be used to promote research participant raffles and meetings with the director at $209.99/yr.
