Agrinet
In 2005, a NASA researcher discovered the United States grew more irrigated grass for lawns than corn or soybeans-- its major export crops. What is cities turned those endless acres into corn and soybeans? What if they turned them into blueberries, raspberries and strawberries, or micro herds for milk, meat and wool? The Agrinet reduces the coordination cost of thousands of urban micro farms and reorients rural farms from global to local markets, freeing space, reducing emissions, improving economies.
About Agrinet
Lead Developer
Jodson Graves, Calvin Secrest
Mass media engineer Jodson Graves teamed up with Calvin Secrest in 2025 to create the Agrinet. The system coordinates conversations between prosumer users with complete market information to improve local coordination. Agrinet displays markets by proximity allowing for global trade with local focus.
Applications
Urban Agriculture/ Terraforming
While urban/rural agriculture coordination is the primary application of the Agrinet, an advanced global network could coordinate the cultivation and care of wildlands making terraforming an art we can perfect before going to the Moon/Mars.
